What happened to Clockwise?
Clockwise announced that it shut down on March 27, 2026 after its team joined Salesforce. It should not be treated as a live option in a new software shortlist.
Clockwise itself recommended Reclaim as an alternative, as described in Reclaim's account of the shutdown. That recommendation is useful context, not a guarantee that every former team's workflow will transfer unchanged.
Pricing and the trial decision
Reclaim has a free plan and paid plans per seat. Motion is an AI calendar and project manager with a free trial, not a permanent free plan. Check reclaim.ai/pricing and usemotion.com/pricing for current terms rather than relying on quoted prices.
Choose Reclaim
- You want a free plan to test before paying for team seats.
- Your main need is auto-scheduling focus time, habits and tasks around meetings.
- You want to keep working in Google Calendar or Outlook.
Choose Motion
- You want tasks and projects managed in the same tool as the calendar.
- You are willing to evaluate a paid product through its free trial.
- You prefer a broader work-management workflow over calendar-only automation.
Verdict
Reclaim is the more natural starting point for former Clockwise teams seeking calendar-first automation and a free plan. Motion makes more sense when the decision includes replacing task and project management too. Try the same real week of work in your chosen tool and check the current plan before committing.
